Message from the CEO
I trust that you have started 2010 reenergised following a very tough and challenging year.
Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to start the new year fresh having had time off between jobs before taking on my new role as CEO of BT Investment Management.
The most frequently asked question I’ve received has been around the motivation and attraction to join BTIM. Quite simply, it is the opportunity to lead a company with such rich history, a strong investment focus with a respected brand and dedicated staff.
I have always admired firms that place investment management at the centre of their business with alignment to client interests.
In the short time since listing BTIM has proven itself in one of the toughest markets ever experienced with a platform that supports the alignment between key investment staff and client portfolios.
By all indications 2010 will bring some important changes to the funds management industry on a number of fronts including the regulatory environment. We will continue to focus on manufacturing excellent investment returns while ensuring we deliver the type of products investors are seeking.
