Winner at the Money Management Awards 2008
In May BTIM won the Property Securities (Australia) category in the prestigious 2008 Money Management Lonsec Fund Manager of the Year Awards.
Judges cited our “strong collegiate culture, flexibility and minimal exposure to the Centro refinancing issues.”
BTIM's head of property securities, Peter Davidson, attributed the win to a strong team approach.
“Firstly, we use a variety of valuation techniques when we are looking at stocks.
"Secondly, we look at absolute value for stocks, so on any given day we know whether we should be buying or selling those stocks.
“Thirdly, we put a lot of analytical effort into the fund, and where we see ourselves differentiated is we do a lot of cross checking and validation of what we have been told by management.” he told Money Management magazine. A series of print ads will run in June to acknowledge the achievement.
